The Bad Horsie wah, made by Morley Pedals for guitarist Steve Vai, is an Electro-Optical switchless wah pedal. The Morley design is known for its operation without a bypass switch – simply stomp on it and it turns on, without having to engage a bypass switch. The Bad Horsie was designed with a pushed mid range voice with a gain boost. Of course, using the Bad Horsie in a high gain rig allows for your wah tone to cut through without any negative feedback, but it’s range can also handle bass guitar and keyboards.
