The iconic 1958 Flying V model has garnered a fanbase over decades of being touted as an aesthetically and sonically unique instrument, and this Epiphone Flying V Prophecy in Aged Bengal Tiger Burst carries the torch. Reimagined for modern players seeking to push boundaries in speed, sound, and technique, this Inspired by Gibson combines classic aesthetics with contemporary features to deliver an incredible playing experience.
Its iconically shaped Flying V body is carved from mahogany and topped with a stunning AAA flame maple veneer, with a multi-ply binding around its perimeter. Its 1/4-inch input jack is mounted on the underside of the upper wing of the “V”, an unusually placed but well thought out design that allows for cable tucking under the strap while in use.
The mahogany neck takes the shape of an asymmetrical Slim Taper profile, one that’s notoriously quick and comfortable. The neck is paired with an ebony fingerboard topped with 24 frets, and beautiful custom block and triangle mother-of-pearl/abalone inlays.
This Prophecy Flying V is stocked with custom-voiced and active Fishman Fluence pickups, with added versatility from push/pull Volume and Tone pots hat allow toggling between three separate pickup voicings: a warm “Patent Applied For” vintage humbucker, a hot modern humbucker, and an optimized single-coil sound.
This Flying V Prophecy comes with a premium gigbag included.
