Building off the bias-based modulation of the original SurfyTrem pedal, the Deluxe hones in the tremolo tones originally found in a number of famous ’50s and ’60s-era American tube amps. The SurfyTrem Deluxe utilizes matched JFET transistors to create its spot-on amp-like tremolo tones. These tones are only enhanced with the added functionality of a Brown/Black mode selection toggle that swaps between different amp-style voicings. The SurfyTrem’s Brown mode replicates a harmonic tremolo and delves into different modulated effect voices a la a rotating Leslie speaker. The Black mode creates your more traditional and prolific tremolo effect more popular and commonly known. This brighter-voiced tremolo works to cut through your signal and get that entrancing rhythmic effect rolling.
