The Epiphone Les Paul Custom in Ebony stems from the rich heritage of iconic Les Paul models, offering players the feel and playability of a Les Paul Custom for an affordable price.
Featuring body made of mahogany, this Epiphone Les Paul Custom’s body is topped with a maple cap. A solid one-piece mahogany neck features a 50s Rounded Medium C profile, which is on the thicker side, and is topped with a stunning ebony fingerboard that works well aesthetically with the color of the body. Twenty-two frets divide the fingerboard, with gorgeous Mother-of-Pearl Block inlays found between them.
The real score of this Epiphone take on the Les Paul, is the authentic Gibson USA 490R and 498T pickups found in its body. Although the guitar itself is not Gibson, close your eyes and you might be fooled, as these pickups are hand-wired with CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors and sound as “Gibson” as it gets. With two volume and two tone controls, players have the flexibility to fine-tune their tone with precision, in Les Paul fashion.
In the hardware department, this Epiphone Les Paul Custom sports Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuning machines, a Locktone Tune-O-Matic Bridge and a Locktone Stop Bar Tailpiece, all gold-plated. This guitar comes with a beautiful hardshell case, with a goldenrod interior, gold harware, and the “Inspired by Gibson” logo on it.
