The Super Overdrive, first introduced in 1981, has been used and stomped on by players all across the globe.In production since introduction, it is the second overdrive pedal ever made by Boss – and for many players, their first pedal. Originating from the Boss OD-1, the SD-1 Super Overdrive adds a tone control and other circuit refinements to their original two-knob overdrive circuit.
Still yellow after all these years, the 50th Anniversary SD-1 features an eye-catching metallic finish, gold capped knobs, and silver battery compartment screw – a nod to vintage Boss aesthetic.
