For players seeking out some true echoed brilliance, the EarthQuaker Devices Silos Multi-Generational Time Reflection Device is your ticket in. Harnessing the threefold power of classic delay effects, Silos taps into generations of time-tested delay tones for a package too good to miss.
Silos begins at its most basic as a multi-mode delay pedal featuring under its hood a digital delay, analog delay and tape delay. Between these three modes, the possibilities are sure to instantly become apparent as the ideas rise to the surface. Each mode opens the field for up to one second of delay time, offering a more spacious experience than many, and contributes its own unique delayed voice. Mode D, a digital delay, brings in a near-infinite march of digital repeats that gradually lose top-end with each regeneration. Mode As analog voice summons more mid-focused repeats that attain darker analog echoes. Finally, Mode T emulates a well-loved and well-worn tape delay that blooms with imperfections and artifacts while coming to exciting, new conclusions when played one way versus another.
Further functionality with Silos includes a dedicated tap tempo switch that frees players to interact at a distance to keep the playability aspect at the forefront and a user-assignable expression control for further expanding upon remote control. Two global operating modes, Live and Preset, denote the different functions of Silos to play as a straightforward, dial-enabled pedal or as a user-assignable preset-driven device with six recallable preset slots. Fully, Silos comes with great playability and user interactivity for a wide array of sounds and modes.
For the delay fan in us all, Silos comes at just the right time to expand our sonic palettes and keep the good times rolling on and on and on and on
