Fender’s American Professional II Stratocaster offers upgraded performance features from theoriginal American Pro models, while still maintaining features that were loved by players of the original American Professional models.
The American Pro II Strat is built with an alder body, a maple neck with a Deep “C” shape, and a bolt-on neck joint. The 9.5″ radius maple fingerboard features black dot inlays and 22 Narrow Tall frets, and a 25.5″ scale length, 1.685″ bone nut, and a special Anniversary 2-Color Sunburst finish complete the instrument’s body and neck details.
Small performance upgrades to The American Professional II Strat include addition of a Push-Push tone knob that enables toggling of the neck pickup into the signal regardless of the switch position, as well as an upgraded 2-point tremolo bridge with a cold-rolled steel block. However, the American Professional II’s biggest improvements are in its pickups: this Strat comes equipped with V-Mod II single-coil pickups designed by Fender’s pickup expert, Tim Shaw. These pickups offer a vintage tone with some slight refinements, delivering more clarity and articulation, and less noise than traditional single coil pickups.
The Deep “C” neck profile on the American Professional II Stratocaster also offers a slightly rounder back contour and is finished with Fender’s “Super-Natural” satin finish on the back, allowing for fast playing with less friction. Designed with the player in mind, Narrow Tall frets on the fretboard offer a slightly added precision, and they’re also a favored choice at the Fender Custom Shop. The American Professional II Stratocaster comes with a hardshell case.
