The Gretsch G2420 Streamliner Hollow Body Single-Cutfeatures a fully hollow arched maple body, complemented by parallel tone bars to enhance tonal depth and structural support. In a nod to the 1950s and ’60s, the G2420 resurrects a model name from that era, with its single-cutaway design. This design evokes iconic big-bodied Gretsch guitars from the 1950s, reminiscent of Gretsch models such as the G-6120, Anniversary, and Tennessee Rose.

Featuring a comfortable nato “C” shaped neck, the G2420 hosts a 12″-radius laurel fingerboard with pearloid Neo Classic thumbnail inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. It’s also equipped with Gretsch’s own Broad’Tron BT-3S humbuckers, for a tone that delivers hefty mids, beefy lows, and smooth, pristine highs. The traditional control layout includes neck and bridge pickup volume controls, a master tone control, and master volume control, offering simple and intuitive tone shaping.

Furthering this guitar’s versatility, the G2420 boasts some unique performance features such as a push/pull pot on the master volume control for coil-splitting of the pickups. This allows players to switch to a single-coil sound, enhancing the guitar’s overall versatility. It also sports aChromatic II Tailpiece that follows the shapes of strings to allow a more comfortable playing experience for the user.

Highlighted by a Cadillac Green, gloss finish, the G2420 draws inspiration from Gretsch’s Duo Jet, featuring a similar pickguard, Baldwin-era f-holes, big block inlays, and a headstock shape that adds vintage aesthetic.
