This Ibanez creation is intensely outfitted and full of personality. Its contoured, double-cutaway body is formed from okoume and carries with it that sleek and comfortable shape associated with modern metal basses. This advanced design is added onto with a five-piece maple/walnut neck shaped in an SRM55 profile. With this neck, the playability factor and multi-scale character of this guitar begins to take shape. Across the neck lays an ebonol fingerboard adorned with twenty-four Medium-sized frets. Measuring in with a multi-scale of 34″ – 35.5″, this bass utilizes the multi-scale design to adapt to common hand position up and down the length of the neck, accounting for positioning and ensuring comfort while moving from lower to higher registers. This multi-scale design assists in speed and maneuverability across the instrument to inspire the best in dynamic playing.
Alongside its multi-scale board, this Ibanez bass incorporates two Bartolini BH2 Passive pickups. These pickups thump along powerfully for delivering thunderous lows and articulate highs. A robust EQ system joins in on these electronics as an Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ with an EQ bypass switch for cutting to the chase in tonality. In addition to this EQ section, a push/pull Passive Tone Control appears on the treble boost/cut knob to deepen the frequency control available on this bass. Top this all off with a three-way mid frequency switch to enable even closer control and this Ibanez creation comes together as an extensively customizable instrument. An MR5 bridge lands at the base of this guitar to solidify intonation and send this bass off in style.
For players seeking thunderous tonality and fluid playability, this Ibanez multi-scale offers awesome avenues for musical inspiration.
