The story behind Billie Joe Armstrong’s famous, dirty, punchy, Dookie-era guitar sound originates from two heavily modified amplifiers with different sonic profiles. With one focusing on scooped, drive-heavy tones and the other on defined midrange, the Dookie sound came from a mixing of these two profiles together differently on a track-by-track basis. MXR’s Dookie Drive captures the tones of those modified amps in one pedal with a wide spectrum of versatility for players to stay reverent or blaze their own trails.

With dedicated High Gain and Crunch Gain sections and a Blend control, players have the power the band had in the studio to find their own perfect mixes between the overdriven characters.
