Mythos Cestus Treble Booster Effect Pedal

The Mythos Cestus is was born many moons ago as a boost pedal and is now resurrected as a treble booster in its second go-round. This new incarnation of Cestus swaps the germanium transistor for silicon by way of the NOS 2N2222A. The switch to silicon solves logistical concerns at the same time as creating tonal distinction in the world of treble boosting. This treble boost with a touch of dirt performs well across a variety of amplifiers.

Controls are simple with a single knob for output (SET) and a 3-way toggle to control voicing (Mid, Treble, Fat). The pedal does have an internal trim control for bias as well. These simple, but effective controls allow for a wide dynamic range of effect from Cestus and enough space to ensure strong pairings with amps and other effects.
