The front face of this collaboration features four sliders: Volume, Gain, Bass, and Attack. Highly interactive with one another, these controls are precise and expressive for getting to the heart of your own thunderous bass mixes. In the event you’re not looking to blow the doors down, Obstructures and Electronic Audio Experiments have you covered there, too. While the Bass Driver’s Volume slider can get very (very) loud alongside the Drive slider’s fifty decibels of maximum passband gain, this pedal also has a softer, more considered side that can be rolled in with accompanying Bass and Attack controls. Getting into the closest of characters with the Bass Driver is deceptively easy, though of course, the capacity for disaster (driven by a formidable burst of volume on tap perhaps) is always afoot.
