This very exciting development comes from none other than JHS pedals, who have taken over manufacturing of Ross, bringing these legendary circuits back to the market. Like their Legends of Fuzz series, this new line of Ross pedals proves that who better to trust with vintage pedal geekery and sorcery than none other than Josh Scott!
The Ross Compressor is an OTA-based circuit (thats Operational Transconductance Amplifier for you nerds). It is built to the same spec as the Era 2 gray box Ross compressor, with a simple control layout for Level and Sustain, and improved soft touch bypass and lower noise than the vintage units.
On the side is a JHS addition, a two-way Standard/Bright switch. The Bright mode helps the compressed signal cut a little extra when plugged into a darker sounding amplifier.
