The Nine Glens of Antrim

These nine character pieces were all inspired by different scenes one from each of the nine glens of Antrim. The area is one of spectacular scenery coupled with a history steeped in mythological folklore.The music reflects the wealth and richness of the surroundings from crashing waves at the Sea Caves at Cushendun the windswept barren hill at Ossian’s Grave and the remote tranquil setting of Layd Church to the peaceful flowing of the Glenarm River.The pieces are around grades 2-4 standard. Each one of them is designed to introduce different elements of technical development and the collection presents a wide variety of styles and musical challenges.
